WELCOME 1ST and 2ND GRADERS!
I am so excited about this upcoming school year. Let me introduce myself, my name is Mrs. Christine Johnson. I am the new 1st and 2nd grade teacher at Zion Christian School. I have 12 years of experience teaching the A Beka curriculum in Christian schools (11 years at ZCS) under the direction of Miss Burnette (ZCS/CFCS Administrator). I have also taught Sunday school for over 17 years. The Lord has given me a passion for teaching children. I love the challenge of a new student at the beginning of a school year.

A METHOD FOR SUCCESS
An African Proverb says "IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD". A student's success is based on a strong parent-teacher relationship. Together we can help our children succeed. My focus is on each student as an individual. I believe in repetition, listening, encouraging, challenging, and centering in on their strengths, as opposed to their weakness. I have a positive, patient attitude, and I want the love that I have for Christ in my heart and life, to radiate through me into our classroom and into the hearts and homes of my students. I am blessed to have this opportunity to impact a small part of your child's life. I look forward to this school year. I know it will be a great one.
